Job Description
One of our important clients is currently looking for a Network solution engineer Infrastructure for a 12-month contract based in Weert.
What you will mainly be working on as a Network Solution Engineer:
– The preparation of qualitative designs based on the stated requirements and/or supplied HLD.
– The realisation and implementation of this design into a functioning and manageable solution / environment.
– Carrying out additions and/or modifications to the environment.
– Thinking along with and supporting an architect in solutions and making choices, by providing technical possibilities, consequences and dependencies based on an issue to be worked out.
– You help develop and improve the security of our OT infrastructure network.
– You assist in enabling the expected growth and modernisation of our OT infrastructure network.
– Collaborating in multidisciplinary teams both within and outside the team.
– Giving knowledge sessions within the team, where you as a specialist share knowledge about a new solution/environment.
Requirements
Requirements:
– HBO working and thinking level.
– Demonstrable and ready knowledge and experience of at least five years with network technical infrastructure assignments and training followed in that field, including:
• Routing & switching based on Cisco solutions, consisting of:
o Routing functionalities such as VRFs, anycast gateways, SVIs/sub-interfaces.
o Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, VRRP.
o Switching protocols such as VLANs, trunking, vPCs, MSTP.
• MultiSite EVPN/VXLAN based on the Cisco 9000 platform, with an excellent understanding of overlay and underlay technologies and their associated functions including VXLAN, VTEP, BUM, MP-BGP, OSPF, DCI, PIP, VRF-lite and Loopback interfaces.
• Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller.
– Good command of Dutch and English.
Requirements
– Knowledge and experience with automation, such as ansible or terrarform
– Knowledge of Fortinet firewalls
– Knowledge of virtualisation and/or VMware NSX
– Familiarity with or certification in Agile, SCRUM or SAFe
Competencies
– Functioning as a point of enquiry within the Infrastructure team as a specialist.
– Accustomed to working with different disciplines/departments as a team player.
