In this role, you will play a crucial part in executing pre-delivery inspections for machines arriving in and departing from Netherlands and other European markets. You should know mobile elevating work platforms(MEWP).
As a PDI Technician, you will ensure the quality and condition of machines, implement, monitor, and report on pre-delivery inspections for new arrivals, stocked equipment, and outbound shipments.
Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Carry out the Pre-Delivery Inspection for new inbound machines, stored machines, and outbound shipments. This includes exterior and interior damage inspections, component and accessory reviews, handling damage claims, software, and language adjustments.
- Create detailed reports and identify trends for issues discovered during the pre-delivery inspection process.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and collaborate extensively with quality, production, and engineering departments to address issues found during PDI.
- Install customer options in accordance with company specification and assist in the development of new options.
- Prepare new equipment in accordance with the manufacturers’ requirements and European Standards
- Maintain accurate records of new machines arrivals and machines that have completed the PDI process to prepare them for delivery.
- Take corrective actions for on-hold machines and ensuring they are ready for delivery on time.
Requirements
- Have experience in the Heavy Machinery Industry, particularly in the PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) process, with experience in the aerial work platforms sector considered advantageous.
- Good working knowledge of aerial work platforms/mobile elevating work platforms is preferred.
