At our offices in the Netherlands, we are currently seeking for a dynamic Project Manager (PM) to join our international PMO team.
Summary of the job
The PM is responsible for a successful lead of European projects/programs across the Movianto group. This includes integration of new Client business across multiple countries, implementation of new systems (from a business point of view), opening of new countries/sites, launching of new services/solutions,… The projects involve cross functional teams from the group and from the Client if applicable.
The project management approach, and even more the project implementation part, is part of our Value Proposition that makes us unique on the market. Project management focuses on efficiency in order to reduce the implementation leadtime and optimise the implementation costs.
The PM may also contribute to the run of Continuous Improvement initiatives, second activity pillar of Group Operations.
This position reports to the Movianto Group Operations Director.
Geographical coverage
- This position provides solutions across Movianto group in Europe
- Regular business travel required (up to 50% of the time)
- The position is based at any of our sites in the Netherlands (Oss or Weert).
Duties & Responsibilities
- Primary objective: to lead projects/ programs efficiently and smoothly with minimum disruption, in a very structured way, according to the existing group methodology.
- You contribute further developing and improving the project management SOP and toolbox with your feedback.
- You manage project-related tasks, activities and milestones with various teams (internally and externally) to ensure completion.
- Effectively manage project scope, project resources (people and finance), planned activities, timeframe and budgeted costs.
- You focus on optimising our efficiency, in particular the time of the involved teammates.
- Resolve barriers and obstacles to timely complete implementation projects.
- Uncertainty Management: depending on the type of projects, you may have to manage a certain level of uncertainty (example : a European new legislation not yet transposed to the countries). For some projects, you start with a pre-project “Needs Analysis” phase.
- People manager, you motivate and empower your project team. You instill and take care of a constructive, dynamic and respectful working atmosphere amongst the project team.
- Change Management: often the project is associated with a change for the people. As PM, you ensure the change benefits are well explained and support the team going through the change curve
- Communication: you structure the project communication related to the project towards different stakeholders groups : internal project team, Steering Committee, the Business Development department and the Client. Project lead has a functional relationship to his project team. Strong influencing role.
- Stakeholders Management: to manage the communication with the key stakeholders. Organise Steering Committee meetings & reporting to keep it aware of the progress, ensure escalation where needed and get approval/decisions where appropriate.
- Risk Management: to identify proactively risks and propose appropriate mitigation measures to the Steerco.
- You act as implementation subject matter expert during quotes process.
- As a member of the Movianto Group Operations, you may lead as well Continuous Improvement initiatives.
Education and experience required
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in business administration, supply chain, logistics or relevant other area.
- A 5-year work experience, of which 2 years spent as Project Manager (internal projects as well as projects/programs involving clients).
- Proven experience working with cross functional and international teams.
- A certification or degree in project management and/or Lean Six Sigma is preferred.
- A previous experience in healthcare sector, GDP environment and/or temperature-controlled logistics environment is preferred.

- Project/Program management and Continuous Improvement skills to lead project team & initiative and effectively turn ideas into reality.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Combining detail orientation and helicopter view, you are able to meet stringent deadlines and perform under pressure.
- Ability to adapt to a growing environment where procedures are under continuous development while being able to bring structure where needed. Used to work in matrix organisation.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects & Continuous Improvement initiative assigned, while demonstrating a team player attitude.
- Client oriented, sales skills.
- Keen, creative and solution minded.
- Financial awareness to enable accurate assessment of project performance and business cases, including investment appraisals and profit and loss accounts.
- Strong MS Office skills.

- Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written;
- Strong interpersonal and multicultural communication skills. You can adapt yourself to different types of audience and culture;
- Your communication style is constructive and brings together project team;
- Fluent in English (verbal and written), and professionally proficient in any of the following languages: Dutch, French or German (verbal and written);
- The knowledge of any other European language(s) is an asset.
